The Churn 4.5.2011
This weekend we are stoked for a three-show run with New Monsoon. Hitting Santa Cruz, Chico, and Sacramento, bands will alternate sets and feature cross-pollination. Here's a matrix recording of the last time we played with New Monsoon, from November 2010 in Portland:

The May sojourn to Portland is shaping up with a confirmed date of May 20th at Mt. Tabor theater with Sugarcane String Band. Can't hardly wait!
In August, the creekside resort of Fernwood will for three days be transformed into Churnwood. Camping, family and phamily friendly people and activities, and good timez galore! We are very pleased to announce that Pat Nevins will be playing this weekend.
We'd like to give a big thank you to many people who helped make our Snowed Out Blow Out at the Connecticut Yankee a huge success. With gnarly weather on the horizon, we made the tough decision to forgo a show in Nevada.
Fritz and the NorCal Clubhouse came through in a pinch. What could have been a not-so-great night turned into a packed house, a happy Fritz, and what our soundman called our "best show yet". A huge tip o' the cap to Fritz, Bill on lights, Iain on sound, and to all the grooving folks!

1) Fernwood Resort has tent sites, tent cabins, wood cabins, and a motel onsite. Call 831-667-2422 to reserve your space.
Ask to be near the "Friends of Five Eyed Hand" group.
2) Riverside Campground and Cabins (831) 667-2414 This site is the closest to Fernwood and offers tents, cabins, and RV sites. Once Fernwood sells out, choose Riverside.
3) Ripplewood Resort: tel:831-667-2242 offers riverside or hillside cabins just north of the festival venue.
4) Pfeiffer State Park and other areas are also beautiful...
